OK, first poster here, from the land of dragon boating -
I have a WaterRower kitted out for imitation dragon boating, and really want to tear it up this winter. The average, and hardest dragon boat race is 500 meters. Since the WP is set up to train you for a 2K, I figure that I can just chop everything by 3/4, and have some kind of a plan.
I've tried looking elsewhere on this site, and online, but keep getting workouts that include 500 meter intervals. 8 of those, at my race pace, would kill me. 8 250's though...Mike, et al, any thoughts?

Check the Pete plan for high intensity interval training. Some good sessions there.

No that is not how it works. 500 meter is completely different in energy supply from the body. The wp plan can not be shopped up. You should keep the longer pieces long, the longer intervals can be cut out, and you should work on pure max power, which is not done in the Wp, so ypu should ad that.CatBrother wrote:OK, first poster here, from the land of dragon boating -
