Only need two more rowers (of any type) in this month's CTC challenge to float our 5th boat. My wife is in the boat still waiting at the dock, and she is not happy about it

So for the team's sake...and mine...let's go :-)

--Marc
Let's Go!! We now need only one rower to get boat off the dock and to get Marc out of the doghouse! Someone ? Any one ?

And in case anyone doesn't know, "Happy wife, happy life" is my husband's motto and I am sure Marc would agree

On a non-CTC note, is any one else doing C2's individual Rowlympic challenge this week. I started it off doing the longer pieces over the last 3 days - now just have the shorter ones to finish up.

I'm on it, both 👍
Getting back into it. Recently finished my 10k race and am getting back on the erg. Rowlymic finishes aren't great, but it's helping me get back in rowing shape.

I have to skip the Dog Days challenge because I’ll be traveling one week next month, so I’m set on finishing the Rowlympics. So far, I’ve done only the 6k, but I think as long as I don’t submit to the “gotta set a PR each time” mindset, I’ll be able to knock out at least two events each of the remaining days.

Marc, tell Linda I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize Suzanne had just posted a time as well. We really need more men to row...

Sabrina-

Linda says..."Definitely no worries....nice times by Sabrina and Suzanne!" She realizes with her slower times (she had knee and hip replacement) that there is a good chance she'll be left at the dock each month. She just likes to compete and contribute to the team.

And she said the exact same thing you said: "we really need more men to row! There are so many men on the team, but such a low proportion of them participate in the CTC." Which as a result, increases the chances of Linda getting left on the dock.

The good news...I am not in Linda's doghouse (I fulfilled my rowing duties!)...which is more than I can say for the male non-participants on the team :-)

Thanks, Dave. Now we only need 2 more beyond you after Linda "recruited" our son. He is not a rower, so he did pretty well for the first time. Especially considering he did it with a broken arm which he suffered during Linda's "recruiting" process :-)

Unfortunately Anna is now at the dock with Linda!

Linda got game‼️ Major meter muncher especially on the bikeerg. And now a Voorhees clan dynasty? Press ganging with or without arm twisting has its uses. And aint nobody happy til Mama’s happy, so . . . Nice piece of work, Josh.

I'm with you. To look at them thinking I have to PR is overwhelming. But I know I would want to cover that distance in a steady workout anyways. So I'm just gonna take all of those at a steady pace.

I think there's a solid middle ground for something like this. I completed the 1-minute, 1K and 30-minute events yesterday with times that were short of my PRs for each event. But, I still had a great workout and felt good about my results. Next up: the 2k, 10-min and 20-min pieces, and I'm saving the 10k for later in the week.

Yep, another (and last) Voorhees addition. Linda convinced our younger son Josh...and then sibling rivalry convinced our older son Kyle! I am in Boat 3, and they are both in Boat 4. Not sure how long that is going to last...as there is talk of another try by both of them...a lot of trashing talking going on right now!

Well at least Linda and I now have some company with Jack and Graham W. in Boat VI

Dave - when you put your time in, that should get us floating!

this occasionally happens with my son and younger daughter, but he is less keen as he generally gets toasted by his sister :O

6 boats for this challenge is awesome!! next month looking good for a few goes, some good old sprinting

That 6 boat can be converted to 2 boats with the addition of 5 hwts. (Not a word about male hwts in the rules, Anna Rae.)
