Hi everyone. Got my CTC entry in, and gotta agree with you all, it was rough. Not feeling great about it given what I think I could have done a couple months ago but I’ve got no gas left in the metaphorical tank right now so I think that’s going to be my only attempt and I’m just going to be glad I made it through it :?.
You still made it into the first boat - so not that shabby! I am happy to bumped down another boat!

I see we are all 2 entries away from getting Boat V off the dock - it already has an L and an F - so just need two more folks.

Added my scores and created the Forum Flyers Team, so if you are on there and I dont recognise your name let me now and I'll add it.

Always find this site quite good for motivation. I see there is a Macroth/Rick/Meerkats log jam!!
I just signed up as "CrazyGreenChemist" so please add me to the Forum Flyers Team

Looks interesting - I am glad to see that you compete against others your age. I have already done a row in most of those categories this rowing year so I will start entering my scores soon. Don't know if I will get to the stage of a HM (or FM) this year but will enter for everything else.

Thanks,
Anna Rae

Morning,

Team of 9 on the nonathlon now, more the merrier and yes it is good that you are comparing like with like, although if you are lightwieght and old, you are more likely to be near the top :)

Five boats a float, I reckon we could hit 6 which would be good for what is a tough challenge. Watch out for that Bec Terry in boat 1, I know her, she is getting the bug and can be a bit competetive, i just need to make sure she doesn't catch me!!!

Next month slightly easier, just the 7k, might treat it as 2k warm up at 20spm and then have a bash at the 5k full blast

Hard to say how to approach next month's CTC - four different possible combinations. I might try a different one each week!

Was rather looking forward to a few cold beers on the dock with Jack while waving you all off again this month - looks like I'll have to do some work instead!
Well done all on CTC, it was a bit of a grueller.

How does this Nonathon Team thing work? When I click on Teams, on the left, it tells me that I'm not on a team and offers to let me create one.

Also, can we register at any point during the season or does it have to be now?

My intensity-level tank has been running low all month, and this CTC really tasked me. If I would have known how wasted I was going to feel when I finished (I had my doubts I was going to finish), I would have backed off the intensity and mailed it in.
I definitely did have to back off the intensity. Got the 3 miles done at an okay pace, though still not fast enough, but started feeling just numb and couldn't push myself at all. But I knew I had to just finish then if I wanted to get something in at all so yeah, pretty much mailed it in for the two miles and one mile pieces and then died. I would have loved this challenge a few months ago when I was tired of all the sprints!

Go to rankings, top of sheet select filter. Click on filter by team box and click on forum flyers. Then click filter button, bottom left.

Should them come up with all flyers
