Looking at your splits, that's actually a fairly even bell-curve which is what a typical 2K should look like. Great job!

Christ... i would be happy with a 2k at that pace.

Did a 5k today and managed to set a new best time.

Time Meters /500m s/m
18:40.0 5,000m 1:52.0 22
3:45.6 1,000m 1:52.8 23
3:46.2 2,000m 1:53.1 22
3:45.1 3,000m 1:52.5 22
3:44.1 4,000m 1:52.2 23
3:38.5 5,000m 1:49.2 23

Pretty satisfied with this, as I've been concentrating more on intervals recently as well as starting to get back into lifting after a 2 month break.

Nice job JMac! Congrats.

Though looking at your stats i reckon much more to come from you yet. And getting back into the lifting will do you good!

Thanks Anth.

I'm kind of treading water lifting-wise right now, until I find a new routine to follow. Recently getting a trap-bar means I'm back to enjoying dead-lifts again though!

I've been treading water with lifting for a year now, and I finally decided to get serious about it again. I'm in so much pain right now but it's great! I missed this feeling.

Smashed my 10K by almost 30" off the one I set 2 years ago. Previous best was 38:26.5, and today I aimed for sub-38, finished up at 37:57.2

Very consistent pacing and rating - 1:54.x for 8 of the first 9 1000m splits (slipped to 1:55.3 in the 7th) and 25 or 26 spm, 1:49.0 @27 for the last 1000m. HR hit 180, not seen that for a while! HM is now my softest PB - do that next.

Aims: 6:40 2K, 18:00 5K, 8000m 30min -done, 2.00 pace HM - done

@bonefixer - nice to dip under 38mins...well done, you seem to be doing really well of late.

@marius - if u can pb by that amount there is certainly more to come...when you're chipping 1s or so off then you've found your level. I don't think you've found your level yet!! Well done....u must be excited as to where u can take this sport?
