This is it....the final few hours of the 2009 WRC! Those on the west side of the international date line gave us a great start to the challenge....now we need to bring it home!! Get those final meters in for a grand finish!

Today's a great opportunity to row for a personal goal - maybe a HALF marathon, or a FULL marathon.....or a RED GIANT! These challenges are, after all, motivation for each of us on our individual exercise journeys! So, whatever your choice is today for a fine finish - you know we'd love to have the meters! We're currently in 8th place overall and fifth in the virtual clubs rankings. Make it count!

Final offering for WRC

For my final offering for the Luna-tics WRC, I offer my first 1/2 marathon. I really should have trained longer than the two weeks of long rows; but I did it. The last 3000m were difficult, but I managed to keep rowing. I am going to keep rowing and training for my next 1/2 marathon and adding meters to reach my first million. Thanks for the encouragement.

Global Marathon Challenge
April 16–April 30

The Details
■Choose from two levels of participation:
■Full Marathon Challenge: Row a full marathon (42,195 meters) in one sitting during the last two weeks of April and enter it in your online logbook.
■Half Marathon Challenge: Row a half marathon (21,097 meters) in one sitting during the last two weeks of April and enter it in your online logbook.
■This is an individual challenge. (You do not need to belong to a team to participate.)
■Meters must be entered online.
■Only indoor rower meters count (no water meters please).
Who Can Participate
Anyone with an online logbook at concept2.com can participate in this challenge.

Incentives and Rewards
Participants who meet the challege can enjoy:

■Name inclusion on the Global Marathon Challenge Honor Boards.
■A specially designed downloadable certificate.
■Full marathon challenge participants may request a Marathon Pin by emailing marathonprize@concept2.com.

Blazing Finish, Team! Woohoo! We had many, many firsts in this WRC 2009 Challenge! Way to row! The numbers aren't all in for the challenge, yet it appears that we are in 8th place overall out of over 200 teams, and over 5000 participants! We're fifth in the virtual teams category!
