Lyd,
we got that to here in RI our yard was swamped but at least our basement wasn't. Too bad we're going different sessions to camp that would be cool to go the same week- I'm kinda nervous it might be kinda hardcore since it's w/ the NAVY and all... well I'll see.

I just got back from practice and the weather's got some waves and wind so our coach says to go in a trainer not a racer... good thing too. The weather worsened and there were white caps and I had four inces of water in my boat with self bailer too... not that I could go fast enough that that would do any good. Anyway at least I didn't tip but I couldn't have gotten much wetter if I had tried... anyway when the water's finally good we'll have good balance and form... if the weather ever improves.

Hope ya'll have had a better experiance so far this season.

~*Sara*~

Wow yesterday was such a nasty looking day... dark clouds, rain (at least no more snow) wind... so I'm headed to rowing thinking oh yay joy erging- I can do that at home if not barge (2000 lbs unflipable five feet wide) but I get there and it clears up just during when I row... the water was like glass for the first time YAY so we went about six or so miles and had a nice row got to row on the square (whoop-de-doo) for ever but it wasn't bad because the water was so glassy.

Ok happy that was the first nice weather row yet so I was pretty excited.

I'd say the youth nationals is the one with nationals in the title.

~Sara

NICE JOB!!!

Hey all guess what... I went to the hospital for surgery last wednesday had a huge abdominal cyst removed and I'm going stir crazy not allowed to row for quite a wile. I have an appointment with my surgeon on Thursday as a followup so I'll find out them what I can do when... good ol' Dr. Wafflehouse or something like that says I'll be out for probably a month. I had 5 liters of fluid in the cyst and it weighed 14 or so pounds so if you need to get skinny fast have a cyst bigger than a basketball in your abdomin and it'll do the trick. Anyway I think NAVY crew camp's down the drain for the first session but I'm being wait listed for the third so I hope I'll get to go.

So that's my deal for now
~Sarea

SARA!!!

You POOR THING! I don't know whether to be more sorry that you had a cyst, or that you couldn't row!!!! Either, to me, are pretty damn awful. At least it didn't happen at the very beginning of the season. Then you would have had no racing...AT ALL!!! *shudder* DId it hurt a lot? How do you tell if you had a cyst? You poor thing. GET LOTS OF SLEEP!

Wuv and xxxx,

Lyd

P.S.
If you make it to the third session sara, i'll BE THERE!!!

yeh... alright, of the three, which do you think is the most prestigious junior rowing nationals?

US ROwing Youth Invite (just for juniors)

US Rowing nationals (for juniors/elites)

Scholastic Nationals (for same school only)

Is anyone going to any of these three?
