Kona's graph looks like a mobile phone ad!
Gina
That means there's hope for me yet. I did less than my usual on Thurs. and Fri. due to my lingering cold. I ended up with a migraine type headache (I've never been diagnosed, but I'm sure it was one) on Sat. and that put me out of commission Sat. and Sun. I hope to be back on tomorrow, but I anticipate it will still be a lighter than usual row. I'll try to get the 5k in at least. I'm already down two days for the month.
Jan dagnled that carrot in front of me and motivated me to try and catch Gina, but so far, I haven't quite been able to do it. This is an unfair opportunity. It's no fun if I pass Gina while she's not able to row. Hurry up and get well Gina. I need you back on the erg. The challenge motivates me. I like trying to catch you while watching out for Jan who is sneaking up on me.
Keep up the good work everyone! Congrats to all the many successes!
Karyn

Great rowing everyone, I'm running on Sudafed, Advil and Echinea tea today. Figure something ought to help! Hubby caught the cold as well, and daugher had it last week. Hope to be back on the erg by Wed or Thursday. Not sure if I will still qualify for March Madness since I row 6 days/week. But that Million Meters Season will happen!
Row strong Karyn, even I can't catch you, I'll do my best to stay ahead of Jan

Gina, have you ever tried zinc tablets? They work pretty well for me. At the first sign of a scratchy throat or even after being in a crowd of people where there is coughing and sniffling going on, I put of cold-eaze tablet between my upper teeth and cheek and let it slowly dissolve. Usually tastes terrible, however it's worth that 30 minute discomfort. It's rare for me to come down with a cold when I use zinc, and I was plagued with colds all winter before.

Thanks Darryl ...
I've heard of zinc, but figured I was too far into the cold to help, Hubby tried some Zicam this AM, we're running an experiment to see how it works.

Thanks for the good wishes and no Darryl I can't share any of my calories. I need them all to maintain my girlish figger!! Just27 was it really just a year ago that 5 Mill life time seemed to be such a daunting number? How things change. Dave H, yes I will be making a run at 6 mill. I will probably need some prodding along the way. Any sharp sticks or biting sarcasm down you're way? Both work well with me. Wild Bill, incase you missed it I'm rowing just hard enough to stay in second place for the rest of the year. Kona2, last but not least. Having the numbers, milestones, braggin' rights and celebrations on line everyday surely helps this old fool stay motivated. Being a Lunatic is great. Rowing in quite isolation would not result in any results like what I've been able to accomplish this year.
Look out Will S I'm coming after you next year, way after you. LOL
Happy Erging All!!!!!

Hasta la vista, and good luck with your quest to 5MM!
Yahoo news tells me that this is the eve of the 50th anniversary of the failed uprising that sent the Dalai Lama into exile. I expect that your flag will be flying high tomorrow.
