Nice work on the half marathon! The temps sound unbearable. Did you end up dehydrated?
I learned early on when I moved south how important it is to keep hydrated. My water was right nearby as I erged. I enjoy the heat. The GM plant here where I worked production was so cold in August I had to wear my winter clothes/hoodie sweatshirts to keep from freezing. COVID has me taking my temperature daily. Over the past year I've ascertained my "normal" temp is in the 96°-97° range. That explains why I'm cold when ohters are comfortable...
Describing this workout to neighbors before I started, they asked if I had the erg set up my house where it was cool. I laughed and pointed to my open front door. Ceiling and box window fans enable good air flow throughout this 100 year old house keeping the inside temp to about 80° on the hottest days. i turn on the csntral air for a bit every few weels to make sure it is all still working!

Yesterday's hike was at Monarch Lake. Monarch is a great spot for kayaking, and fishing - located in the Arapaho National Forest. No motorized things are allowed there - and no bikes of any kind - to preserve the primitive feel of it all. I'll share the story behind Monarch Lake at a later time. It's a beautiful place for a summer hike. We don't often get treated to the sight of two bull moose out on the islands in the lake, though!

So. Thought you might like to see some photos of an area you might not know about!

Hi all!
My name is Marios and I live in Greece. I recently bought my concept 2 and I joined your team! I don't have any past experience with rowing so my pace, technique and time are awful but I put a smile on my face and start rowing again

Welcome Marios. And Kona, that is absolutely beautiful... I'm jealous and would love to go for a hike there.
And, as you've noticed, I'm back once again. No idea how long I'll last this time, but I decided that after a few years of slowly gaining weight it was time to see if I could get back in shape again. Those first few sessions were tough, making it hard to get back onto the rower the next day. But I'm starting to get the hang of it again. I can tell that I'm improving, and ultimately that's the goal.
Wim (attempting to get back into rowing shape).

Welcome Marios! Did you join up for the Fall Team competition or were you wanting to also join the year round affiliation? If it is also the affiliation, then I can't see you on the roster yet! To join the affiliation, you need to go into your profile and scroll down to affiliation and select Luna-Tics! Then your meters are visible and we can celebrate your milestones!

Hi Kona! I have already joined for the Fall Team but I didn't know about affiliation! I checked my c2 logbook account and I joined the affiliation now!

Hi all! It's been a few years...but I just retired from my extremely demanding and very stressful job! I just bought an Erg Bike to mix things up with my rower and look forward to re-joining the Luna-Tics! You are a fun group and I look forward to reconnecting and getting back into shape!
