Day 26 of 31....lot can happen in 6 days, so keep erging!

Meanwhile, our virtual waters can claim ANOTHER member of the Bathtub Brigade! To earn your tub, you have to have logged 500,000 m in the Challenge! It's a tremendous amount of time on the erg (no matter how fast you are), and quite a commitment. Congratulations, Gary, on achieving Bathtub Brigade status! Will work with AJ to see if we can personalize your native and your tub!

We also have two new paddles in the Lunaverse! Well done!

Thanks Kona! Along the same row I surpassed 47mil lifetime meters. Always fun watching them accumulate. After January I will start hitting that little white ball around more often until June when we hit the 50’s here. I tried to golf in that heat a couple times it just drains you mental and physically.

Holy guac, Ed, you're a mere 3,504 from a million meter challenge! Though, try as I might, I can't find a number meaning in 3,504.
Well, rowed, sir! Very impressive. You've earned that round or two of golf ... :)

Congratulations on the 7/47, Ed !!! You have now been upgraded to the 1st Class Cabin.

I'd like workouts to be in the 30-60 minute range. Anything that will help with losing weight and/or gaining cardio endurance is welcome.

There are a lot of different workouts you can do. You can set the monitor for intervals and mix it up however you want. You can go by meters or by time. Depending on how I am feeling I adjust the rest time between pieces. Here are some options:

6 minutes on (3-2-1) and 2-4 minutes off. For the 3'-2'-1, you can change it by stroke ratings or by splits.
29 minute piece (5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5) I do these by changing stroke rating 18-21-24-27-30-27-24-21-18).
You can just row steady state (pick a comfortable rate and row that the full time.) for any length of time.
You can row 10 minutes on (hard but not max) and 2 minutes off five times.

Good luck!

You could also check out the Concept2 Workout of the Day (WOD). Each day three workouts are presented: Short (max 30 min.), Medium (45 min), and Long (60 min). For each, there is an alternate (in case you don't like what's suggested). You can sign up to get the WOD emailed to you each morning.

Have fun!

And, here is the Gary W bathtub! We had the generic native one as a placeholder, but AJ has provided the caricature based on your team photo.
