Pickle juice?! Would that be dill or gherkins or does it matter?bg wrote:thanks for all of the support...34.47 miles and discovered that pickle juice is magic and it rained before but not during the race and 11th female overall...first in my very small age group....#iearnedmymarshmallowfluff:]

Congrats, BG! Over 55k's, nothing to sneeze at!
Had to laugh, first started using pickle juice in 1981. Back then, poured it from a pickle jar. Now they sell it in the mini/individual use bottles. Still use it on long/hot days & events but tastes the same now (yuk) as it did then. It works! That said, marshmallow is much tastier

A sip of pickle juice also works great, in the middle of the night, for leg cramps.

This team motivation is heady stuff ... we'll be at the beach for most of week-3 of the Corky Summer Challenge, and all I can think about is how I can possibly accomplish my 30K and stay in the pack! (Maybe, I'll be able to accidentally "find" a C2 rower, as did the resourceful danwho!)
