The Lunie reindeer (now at 46 !) are stomping about in anticipation of the BIG flight....and Zoomer (Howard), lured by the flashing red harness, is gaining ground on the 300,000 m milestone. Meanwhile, at least 8 reindeer are making tracks toward antler lights...c'mon, Lunies....it's going to be foggy somewhere and we're going to need all those antler lights (especially up near the arctic circle where the aurora borealis is often given credit for the lights....)

Concept2 donation meter totals are on FAST spin....and stand at $29,500! Hooboy! That bell is going to ring this afternoon as the $30,000 goal is surpassed! Love this part!

I'm really glad to find out the wowzer is not the way Americans spell wowser, which in Australia refers to a spoilsport, wet blanket, or more specifically "one whose sense of morality drives them to deprive others of their sinful pleasures, especially liquor", which I would like say does not represent me at all, I'm totally into sinful pleasures, especially playing number games

My 53,109 was actually 23,432 day before yesterday (I've been uploading my rows a day in arrears), then 29,092 yesterday, then I could not resist a final 585 to bring my total for the holiday challenge to 700,007, a nice symmetrical set of numbers

I won't get a chance to row today, my wife believes that preparing for the arrival of six seasonal visitors should take priority

Thank you for the welcome Kristine, and I agree, this is the best virtual rowing team I have every been a member of.

I hope you all have a wonderful festive season, and see you in the new year, when I hope to find out more about the Bathtub Brigade...

YOU CAN DO IT !!! Keep going!!!

The final hours of this year's Holiday Challenge are racing to their inevitable conclusion....but there is STILL TIME to get your meter contributions into the Concept2 meter piggy bank! Over TWO BILLION meters are into the meter piggy bank universe wide, yet we all know that cumulative meters count more per person than just the odd bits here and there. The grand total has yet to be calculated...so far that 2 billion has generated $31,815 as of this writing....I do believe that is a record setting pace! Naturally, one hopes that the hook has been set and that all these virtual players will be present for the January Virtual Teams Challenge and beyond! Still...it took a few years for me to transition from a Holiday Challenge rower with occasional contributions throughout the year to one who doesn't feel like it's been a good rowing year unless I get at least my one million meter milestone annually. Quite a few years. So whatever your total for the Holiday Challenge, look at it as a starting point to your future erging self!

Lots of reindeer bling happening ... with five sets of antler lights to be attached, there's a queue at the installation bays! Several teammates are well within antler striking distance: Sharon, Angelo, Ron, Andrea and Patrick Hsr! Other teammates are EVER so close to claiming their reindeer! C'mon! This sleigh is extra heavy this year and will need all of us to generate the power to fly it!
