Eights anyone?

Post by Thor MW » March 31st, 2016, 3:02 pm

You folks may remember that I was scratching my head over people stopping at a number with a bunch of eights in it. Naturally I mentioned this to Janice and she rowed enough meters today to give her the WEC grand total of 88,888m. Just to drive me nuts I’m sure. haha.

Whooooosh! That's the sound of you and your erg flying through ANOTHER month....and entering the LAST erging month of 2016's Concept2 season!

Image 27 Lunies stayed alive... This uptick was mirrored by the overall progress board ...this one showed a whopping 166 new lifers as virtual participants got their data into the meter piggy banks. Life on the edge! Well done and CONGRATULATIONS to all our finishers! You have all indeed gathered many shamrocks and pots of gold!

Meanwhile, the World Erg Challenge now enters the increasingly serious phase.....and we're in spot 7!

Thanks K2 and Thor! 10 million was the goal I set this year… knowing work was going to start taking up a lot of time traveling to recruit 200 new employees the next season so wanted to set the bar high this year. I have a good shot of making it happen - God willing.

Happy rowing,

Ed

Congrats, Ed, and good luck on the 10 MM meter goal. I'd much rather be rowing than recruiting!

He's A Six Million Meter Man!

Post by Kona2 » April 2nd, 2016, 10:10 am

Whoop, whoop and woohoo! Many of us remember watching the TV show The Six Million Dollar Man and ace test pilot Steve Austin, rebuilt as a bionic man after a near fatal crash. Ron's had to fight his own way back after a hand injury, and looks like he has been wildly successful! Congratulations to a Lunie Six Million Meter Man! We wish you many, MANY more!

Congratulations Ron! Made me laugh K2 - my younger brother acted like the six million dollar man... The problem was he ran in slow motion all the time.

Happy rowing,

Ed
