Congratulations to all the milestones and achievements over the past few days…

I’m sitting on the sidelines with a respiratory infection seemingly, so hopefully back over the next few days…

Cheers, Baz

She's A Meter Multi-Millionaire !! Six Million Meter Gal !

Post by Kona2 » March 24th, 2014, 10:56 am

Whoop, whoop and hooyah! The Celtic green billiard marking the SIXTH million of this season is just one accolade Barbara has in her stash of earned trophies. There's all those finisher medals for the Boston Marathon, gallons of marshmallow fluff, and ... well...the infamous nude run. Yep, on April 21st bg will once again run the streets of Boston to participate in the world's oldest marathon (I think that's right), and help "take back the finish line." Last year there were 23,000 participants, and this year it is projected that there will be 36,000 participants...and we will know bg by her Luna-Tics written down her left arm (or at least she's done this in previous runnings). Takes a lot of courage and strength to do a marathon...whether you're sitting on the erg seat or running on the pavement. And it's not the first time that a sporting event has been used to overcome fear and dread in the Boston area. The Boston Globe today wrote about the race run in 1917, when there were fears that there would be a German attack on the waterfront of Boston. Then, too, the city turned out strong. It is expected that in addition to one-third more participants, there will be TWICE as many spectators along the historic finish line...ONE million are expected. Seems appropriate that we talk about the millions of meters that bg has achieved, too.

So, well done, Barbara on getting across this 6th million meter finish line! We wish you many, MANY more finish lines in your journeys!

Whoop, whoop and hooyah! Seems fitting that Danno should also hit a meter milestone to celebrate today! He's another teammate who somehow, some way always finds a way to get those challenges done, and crank out the meters! Congratulations, Danno, on achieving TWO million meters this season (for yet ANOTHER year). We wish you many, MANY more !!
