That sounds like a lot of effort. Much appreciated Dougie

The next updates have been recreated by Gregory Cook as he's been scraping the C2CTC site for a backup.
Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Before publishing the updated table that includes the March CTC, I would like to ask a question concerning three teams that are missing from last month's results. According to the March 26 screenshot, Engine by Carson had a boat with 8073.6 metres average, Whitby Friendship 7845 and Independent 7416. For no fault of their own, they do not appear on the April 9 listing. My proposal is to award them the same points as the next team below them in this April 9 listing.
Please give an opinion, either here or on facebook, for or against this action. I'll go with the majority and publish a table on April 18.
Regards,
Joe

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
It's most likely that they didn't know about the database destruction (now hacked back together with lots of help from Gregory Cook) and didn't know they needed to re-enter their missing results.
If you or they can give me the results for the team (just their member names and distance rowed for each member will do), I'll insert them into the results (with some SQL). Your screen shot will do.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
1 vote for inclusion of missing entries post restoration of data set with the caveat that requiring a screen shot of the pertinent ctc daily result page or of a personal logbook entry evidencing the ctc challenge parameters and result dated prior to the crash would forestall some complaints about exclusion by those without either champions or supporting evidence.

Hi Dougie,
The screenshot that Casey sent me was dated March 26. The three missing teams are Engine by Carson, Whitby Friendship and Independent.

The good old Wayback machine. It'll take me a few days to work through that screen shot, but I will be able to get the missing victims re-inserted.joe80 wrote: ↑April 11th, 2022, 10:48 amThe screenshot that Casey sent me was dated March 26. Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Since the CTC is an honour system anyway I'd vote for as much data/entries/teams being recovered as possible within reasonable bounds of the above and beyond effort needed to achieve it. Better to include and encourage all those that did an original effort - they shouldn't loose out, or any new hurdles put in their path. Thanks for the ongoing support of the CTC.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
It's been a long time coming but, I hope, this is the best table that we can produce given the problems with the database.
There seems general acceptance that teams with boats floating on the March 26 listing should be included.
Congratulations to the Mad team on winning their eleventh consecutive challenge this season. One to go for a clean sweep.
The Diamonds launched an amazing 38 boats. That's great participation; well done.
Future Challengers:
May - SkiErg
June - Team Diamonds
July - Whitby Friendship ARC

May CTC notification from SkiErg.
A Sprinters Paradise:
Row it for your rowing club and/or ski it for the SkiErg team.
10 x 100m / 1 minute rest
Standing start first rep. Subsequent reps as you like.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
This is all new to me but I am looking into how to create a team for the C2CTC
Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Congratulations to the MAD team for going through the entire season in first place on the leaderboard. Thanks to Dougie and others, the CTC database has been recovered so it's possible to see if this feat has been previously achieved. Sub7 finished in the silver medal spot. Team Oarsome, with a strong finish, pipped Fitness Matters for the bronze.
The Diamonds, once again, had the highest participation with 24 boats launched
.
Forum Flyers head the Challengers table and are awarded the August spot. Engine by Carson and RowAlong, as new teams, have qualified for a challenge but must contact me for this to happen.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Hello and thank you!
I would like to start a team as Live2Row. I am one of the owners of Live2Row Studios which, as you can imagine, is an indoor rowing gym. We run classes in-studio as well as online and would love to have our rowers compete on the C2CTC challenges. If there is anything you need from me or anything I should know before continuing, please do not hesitate!
Thanks in advance for the help!
