Whatever you decide, I would suggest that you discuss it with your family physician and/or a nutritionist that specializes in athletes and/or competitive sports. If you belong to a high school team, ask around - someone is probably using a good personal trainer or other resource. You don't say where you are from, but if you are from Southern California, drop me a line - I can suggest a couple of good ones.
Please keep in mind that what works for some may not work for you - especially since you probably work out a little harder than the average person. Your caloric requirements are *definitely* higher than 700 calories a day, and to reduce your caloric intake less than 20% of your requirements will cause you to lose lean muscle mass - which will undo all of your hard training! In fact, trying to operate a such a low calorie intake could be downright dangerous for you.
Finally - realize that most athletes would be considered 'overweight' by government standards.... just a little food for thought.....

Well it wasn't long before someone suggested going to an idiot medical quack. With their dismal record, to even consider such bad advice would be dangerous.
