Providing there not stuck between the rollers, it is a pretty common issue to about 50% of the rowers. Some swear with specific shorts to solve it

I didn't even notice it whilst I was on the rower, but I really notice it now, that and lower back pain, think I need to start with shorter distances, or 1k several times instead of all at once.

Will do some research into wearing different shorts.

Shorts will help to keep "things" in place, and hopefully out of trouble.

Painful boys? Two solutions really....."old school", althletic supporter, "new school", spandex tights. If you prefer the "belt & braces" approach, wear both.

Can't help you there. After several episodes of blue balls in my teens, the lads seem impervious to pain.
