You can get a belt with no drops, my older Garmin belt does it fine but like I said, decent battery and the right moisture level on the start at the start of the row.
The start is probably the biggest issue, I'm adding water just minutes before the start.
That new CooSpo strap looks interesting but its much cheaper than the new Garmin range so no idea if its better or worse until you try it.
Probably only have issues with mine 10% of the time, any drops are clear on the C2 logbook graphs.
