Has anyone ridden both a C2 bikeerg and a Schwinn Airdyne?

Hi Optimus.
I enjoyed both spinning and standing up hills, my favorite activity on the bike.
On the Bikeerg, 300 watts with a 245 damper is only 63 rpm, a reasonable rate for standing.
But if that is too high, removing the mesh will increase the drag and lower the rpm's down into the 50's.
Here is Lance Armstrong climbing at 80 to 90 rpm. I still enjoy doing some standing every day on the Bikeerg.
cheers jon. i'd be being disingenuous if i said riding the bikeerg at the highest damper setting was like being clipped in on a mountain, but you can put a reasonable, not high, level of power through the pedals in a standing position. 75 rpm is very high for standing, I'm not sure many of us can compare to a doped up Lance Arnstrong!

I've had my bikeerg since May 28th and so far, it has exceeded my expectations.

My fears on the resistance were totally unfounded. At a damper setting of "1", I can't move my legs fast enough to generate any real power and it's much easier than the Airdyne.

I'm getting my best times in the 3-5 range, although once I push up to "4" and beyond, the thigh burn kicks in.

My primary purpose for getting the bikeerg is for informal, self-designed cardiac rehab. I am literally almost totally deconditioned and then I suffered from pulmonary embolism induced heart failure in January. Things are improving quickly. A distance and pace that left me gasping in the first days I had the machine, now just slightly raises my heart rate.
