I do feel a lot more in control with my weight now. It can rise with overindulging at Christmas etc, but I've got a set routine of exercise I do which includes tennis, cycling and rowing. The Middle East weather certainly makes tennis and cycling more appealing than when I was in the uk?!Dangerscouse wrote: ↑February 14th, 2020, 1:54 amSounds like a good sustainable weight loss too, which is importantJohnny6162 wrote: ↑February 13th, 2020, 7:17 amMy stats need updating too. 53 years old now but happily 107kg now. Re: weight loss
(First post here. I'm a 61 yrs old male, 6'1", 230 pounds.)
Years ago I lost 30 lbs when I tried the Atkins diet, no carbs, lotsa fat and protein but that didn't last, sood as I got off that diet the weight came back. hat's why I'm reluctant to try the Keto thing even though lotsa people all over are losing a lotta weight. Not exactly sure how Keto and Atkins are different, more veggies etc with Keto? I just like bread too much to give it up, and I like rice and spuds.
So I've been rowing since October, have lost a few pounds but it's coming off slowly. I'm eating less junk, trying to eat fewer carbs, smaller dinners and I have about 1 beer a week instead of 1 or 2. I Still have a glass of whiskey every night.
