I updated my firmware to 166 yesterday afternoon and now hit that issue after every workout with or without ErgData. It looks like suddenly there is now a 167 version available which must have just been released within the last 24 hours. I am updating that now and will see If they pushed this out to fix this issue. Otherwise I too will do a factory reset.

Pick up the phone call C2 at: 1-800 245 5676

You may need the battery cover hardware fix.

Updating to firmware 167 has corrected the issue for me, no reset needed. I am no longer getting the fault error.

I originally had 163 before updating to 166. So my assumption is one of the version iterations in between, if not version 166 itself, caused the bug.
