Unexpected 2k skierg PB today!

After my typical 15min skierg warmup for gym session, my gym buddy saying: let's go for a 2k race now, you on skierg and me on the rower! So we did!
To be honest, I felt not good during warmup and wasn't convinced to perform well, but thought about 1:46 splits to get a par with my 7:06 PB.
First split was a bit faster, so I backed off a bit, as I thought I could hit a wall otherwise. To my surprise - no walls in sight and even no fatigue. Full control all the time, so I increased pace in the last split and could do a good sprint with 1:38 pace at the end.
Very satisfied with the result :)

Thx, gents :D

After my last attempt, when I bailed at 900m and a pace of ca. 1:45, I was a bit cautious for the first km. All doubts left my body, when I hit the 3rd split and felt really good. I think there is some more to get with a better pacing and a "good day"

Another 5K skierg PB: 21:57.6.

Only 0.1 second improvement this time, but progress is progress, and tbh felt knackered at the start of the session.
