6 sec PB on Skierg 2k: 6:48.3 ... i'm really bad at 2k compared to longer distances
32°C in living room
32C in the garage for me too at the moment: my steady state sessions are depressing, my HR is +10-15bpm than usual
I was pondering starting a FM training cycle right now (to have a FM in Nov/Dec) but now I'm rethinking it ...

Fortunately it was just a test... when i set my 5k/10k/hm pb was on june when it was 10 degree less in Italy.

Summer 2021 was when i got the C2 and so Rowlympics was the first Challenge I remember.
Was fun to row against myself and beat all the times/distances, including PBs for 2k / 6k / 10k.
We'll see how the training is going in 4 years as I may well want to conveniently forget these stats comparisons by then!
Great progress for sure!

Love this!! Last week was my first rowlyimpics, hope I’m still improving in 3 years as well! Well done

Thanks
I also set myself a general 2024 challenge to beat the 10 x PBs I had logged for a bunch of the standard "ranked" pieces.
Managed 8/10 so far and deliberately saving the others. For 5k I have a virtual race thing in October, and the marathon I may as well use that towards the Holiday Challenge pin!

That's solid progress, especially over such a variety of sessions

Yeah, I need to rank a 5k this season too. I know I’ve got sub 18 in me, just need to find the right day! As for marathon, that’s little treat is waiting for winter!!!

Very well deserved and it doesn't surprise me. Going sub 17:30 is a really big milestone.

Thanks Nick, for this effort to be 70 seconds off your lifetime PB is quite humbling, mind!

Certainly feels like one, nice little benchmark set. You've got a good 5k PB in you, just out of interest when was this set?

Ha, you've got a good engine in you, maybe enough to offset the weight advantage I have... the rest is just a case of feeling really uncomfortable for about eight minutes!

I'm not 100% sure as it was part of a 5k / rest / 2k challenge, so I couldn't rank it, but it will probably have been around 2021. I did a 17:24 in August 2020, so it was definitely after that.

I hope to get a grip at this soon. But currently my body has other plans, recovery isn't very well last days and I have no idea
