60min trial.
I was all alone in the basement and didn't know how fast I could go or how much power I had left at the end until to late and no one to call the finish sprint. Still the result was better than I had hoped for.

1:52.1 average and 16056m. If I try it again I'll aim for 16150 since I was very comfortable at the end and the last 5 pulls I made a sprint and got to 1:33-1:34.

It bothers me that is bothers me that I didn't succeed in giving it all I've got

Happy to have gone over 16k though

Training
First venture into UT1 work after 10 weeks mainly AT work.

60 min, df115, 24 spm HR capped at 80% HRR and average HR of 76%. Split was 1:56.9 (15,397m) which seems a little slow. My 60 min PB last week was at 1:51.7 and this was done with HR no more than 85% for most of the time so adding 5 seconds for the step down in HR seems a lot.

It took quite a while to settle into the slower pace/stroke and I am not sure it ever became as relaxed as the AT work at lower pace/ higher spm. This may be due to the fact I had cycled 20k to the gym first and/or body adjusting to the different workout. (The 60 min PB was more or less a usual 30 min AT sessison just for twice as long!)

I will probably stick with the 60 min UT1 sessions for a few weeks and see how it settles down.

Neil
