Looking forward to the team challenge. Which brings me a question are my meters being counted in the team's all round meter count?
Hi there -- I'd love to tell you, but with Dogers@66 the only thing to go on for your identity, I have no idea!! Please let me know your name.

Damsel fly Thank you for the input. Yes I'm on the team my name is John Schmit and I'm an amputee who discovered rowing some 5 months ago. Just finished the military Valor Games cycle of meets in rowing and Discus. Now looking forward to the team challenge and CRASH-B.

Had a great short row tonight. I was cross training, but I did a 15 minute warm-up/training row. I did 4 minutes warm-up medium hard, but again focused on keeping my stroke rate down in the 20's. Then I went real hard for 4 minutes and kept my stroke rate at 27 for the most part while getting my pace down into the mid 1:50's/500m, probably averaging about 1:57/500m for the whole 4 min piece, I then rowed easy again to recover and started picking up the pace again after about 2 minutes and then finished strong, always keeping my stroke rate around 27. Feeling ready for my 1K personal time trial.

Awesome progress John! One of my favorite aspects of rowing (and exercise in general) is making progress. A little bit of progress here and there over a period of time, and then doing a look-back at your results, gives the motivation to keep on going. Plus the results when you look in the mirror or step on the scale. Good for you and keep on going strong!

Welcome, John! (Even though you've been on the team for a bit...) Honored to have you on our little (but growing!) boat!!

Hey team, I just wanted to say I just finished my last treatment for non Hodgkin's. This was a 2 year treatment program, so I'm really excited, doctors are going to try and let me go for an indefinite period before starting back up. I celebrated with a really slow 10k. I've been greatly inspired by all your challenges and rowing accomplishments and just simply your will and desire to keep getting on that darn erg and improving your overall health. Fall team challenge...looking forward to it, TimbukTOO has a strong motivated team, and I'm sure we'll do great! Doug G

Oh no, Jim!!!
Hope you heal fast -- take it easy. (Man, that sounds like something
I'd do.)
Maybe the erg was just exacting its revenge for that full marathon you inflicted on it last weekend!

Hey team! Way to go everyone who accomplished some goals! Sorry to hear about the injury Jim, get well soon. I finished off the dog day challenge and am looking forward to the Fall team challenge. Bearing down on Half a million meters for the season. Knowing how hard that is, I am simply in awe of Diane's accomplishment. Happy erging all! I forced my self to take a full day of rest today, actually something that is very hard for me. I hope the rest pays dividends.
