Jan,

This time thingy has me all messed up most of the time. I'm rowing you're in bed; you're rowing I'm in bed; we're both rowing at the same time when both of us should be in bed. Is there no end to this madness?

FYI I put up a HM (BTW 6:10 off my PB) this afternoon so Jane wouldn't get lazy on us tonight. She knows, in the AM I will add another 10-13 K to the HM. Also, just so she knows, I intend to make up ground between now and the 15th. I will be out of action from the 4-20 until 4-29. I have a mandatory Eastern Caribbean cruise to attend. Last year Princess Cruise Line did not have C2 ergs. Does hoisting 12 oz beers count.

Dan

PS: In reflection. I was just telling the Princess (Wife Jeanne) that a year ago I thought I had had a good workout if I rowed 5K a couple of times a week or a 2K real fast, sub 10 minute. And, wow look at what all of us are doing today. My resting HR on Oct 23rd was 63 this AM is was 49. What does this mean? WE ARE MAKING PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the ramblings, after the HM I treated myself to a couple of glasses of wine with dinner. It always loosens the tongue. Typing still sucks but oh well.

Smooth water and easy pulling to all!

Dan, we should ALL have mandatory cruises in late April - no matter what time zone we're in! And, like you, I used to think that rowing a few times a week for a 5K was really good - now we are ADDICTED! And we know it takes more effort to get the kinds of physiological changes you're citing! That's quite a change in resting heart rate!

Challenge meters to date = 7,453,328 m! We are in 7th place and we are (55,885 m) behind Timbuk2!

Total meters on the day = 367,075 m - that's a whopping big number!

Great rowing everyone!

6th Place

Jane,

Great rowing. It's getting hard to breath back here in your dust.

If everybody does just a little extra for the next five days I think we can take 6th place. It's been a great race so far.

SIX Days To Go!

We're in the final week - racing towards that finish line!

Challenge meters to date = 7,672,356 m

Total meters on the day = 219,028 m

We're in 7th place - (82,986 m) in the wake of Timbuk2!!

If you have a little piracy running through your veins, row an extra 5K today - let's see what we can do!

Thanks, everyone, for all your meters and hard work in this challenge! For those of you who have been pulling a lot of 10Ks and more, there's ANOTHER challenge coming up that you may be interested in: It's the Global Marathon Challenge April 16-30th! Row a half marathon or a marathon (full marathon and you get to keep the glass! And you will have truly earned the beverage it may contain!)!

:D

It's just plain not fair that this competition coincides with the tax deadline. I'd be putting in a lot more meters if I could!!

Dan -Have fun on the cruise - just think if other passengers find out about your passion, they'll all sign up for your lifeboat!

As for me - I have Passover to get ready for as soon as 4/15 is over. But at least it's not desk work. Mostly I want a nap!

Hi everyone - I encourage you to take a look at David Hart's posted topic in the NARC section about the rules for NARC. Hi all,

I'll do the postings on the numbers later today - I have a couple of recognitions that I'd like to post as well as milestones. I am in a bicycle course (Bike Ed, Road I) for Saturday and Sunday morning this weekend. After last weekend's hiccups with posting, I thought it best to give you all fair warning that my numbers might be impaired if I do them too quickly!

Thanks!

Jan

Can you carbo load on matzah?

I hope Passover goes well for you. I know holidays can be hard after a loved one dies. Raise Miriam's cup for your Mom.
