They are over at my uncle's shop, and time is of the essence to get them completed and moved over to my house. I had hoped to be done last week, but it looks like it will take all of this coming week to get them done and moved. This is my first building project using actual plans, and it is coming along nicely, if not slowly. I do promise to finish my million before the end of the season, never fear! Here's what they are looking like. The footprint is 4' x 8'.

Kona2,

Just wanted to see my name in lights one more before I pass this milestone and disappear into the black hole of needing mega meters to the next check point. LOL. Or maybe it was 6AM when I got that far and had to go to work..

Jane's erg must be the one that is smoking. She is difinintely on fire. Left me in the dust last week-end.

Darryl, sorry about your trip. I can guess how much you were looking forward to it.

Dan - WTG!

Darryl - sorry about your trip - hope you are able to schedule another one soon.

Kristine - Nice Lofts!

Jane - IMPRESSIVE!

Jan - 5 hours in on a bike saddle? ouch. I posted 8k on Friday 4/4 - but I never saw it in the standings. I'm wondering if it got missed?

Yesterday we spent the day in San Diego (2 hr drive each way) so I didn't get any rowing in. My mom's 83rd birthday would have been 4/8. We visited her grave and spent the day with my dad, just being family. He was very comforted and said the day went much, much better than he thought it would. His strength just amazes me. They were married 52 years.

Meters Not Missing

Post by Kona2 » April 7th, 2008, 2:18 pm

Gina -

The birthdays/anniversaries aren't easy to manage - sounds like you and your family really connected on a difficult day!

Image

   Well, this is a lesson learned! Your meters were captured - both in the spreadsheet - and in my notes prior to posting (your name and meters just didn't get from the notes /spreadsheet to the posting!). This was the same day that I goofed up on Steven and Mary's also. The lesson learned part is that I will take the time to do the posting BEFORE the bike rides - I had to meet up with some folks to ride at 8:30 so I wrote down all the numbers, put them in the spreadsheet and then got ready to go -- thinking I could just finish the post when I returned. None of us expected to have to bike in that much wind -- what should have been maybe a three hour ride turned into much more. The flat tire didn't help. So there you have my Saturday - it was messy for the bike riding and not good practice for working with numbers. I guess I really was toasted (and hadn't even had any alcohol!...at least not then ) when I finished the ride and tried posting! And I would take five hours on the bike seat any day over five hours on the rowing machine! At least I can coast once in awhile on the bike!

And FYI to everyone - I do reconcile the total I get on the spreadsheet with the total that Concept2 has posted for the day. If I don't get the same amount (and this has happened) I will go back through and figure out where I transposed or got dyslexia.

Keep me honest on the numbers!
:D

 Hey team here I am back again. I haven't much time to surf but I am rowing all I can. I will get in here as often as possible to upload meters but that will be about all I can do for now. Working too hard getting the homestead ready for year-round habitation... studying my insurance exam materials and fcc license leaves very little time for much else. I am getting stronger every day and hope to be rowing at my former strength some day in the near future. Still in therapy for my neck so some days I row and some days I wish to row. :?

Congratulations on 2 million Dan! If you were in a boat that would be about 1242 miles from where you are now. Well done! Darryl

Lisa welcome back to rowing. Good to hear that you're getting stronger, but take care of that pain in the neck, neck of yours. Don't push it too hard. Darryl B.
