Lofty goals to land among the stars! You're right, David! He couldn't possibly be on another team as "Orion".

"As I posted this morning for yesterday, tomorrow I'll show a nice number in the stats, but it's for two days ."

Andrea and others who may not know,

When you go to enter your information into the C-2 site under "Add new workout" it allows you to change the date. The current date is the one that always shows up, but if you hit the arrows you can change them to whatever date you ergged on. This way if you can't enter the information the day you ergged you can still enter it accurately. For a case like the March Madness, I believe you get credit if you completed 5000m 25 days or more, so you may want each day reflected.

Keep up all that great ergging!

Daily Stats Stuff

Post by Kona2 » March 19th, 2008, 8:28 pm

Karyn,

Good reminder! I think what happens is that even though people may be altering the date to show actual day rowed, when it is posted for the university/club/team standings (which is where I take the daily number from), I cannot tell whether the meters entered were done on a specific date. I just take a snapshot of the number and call it good. It is definitely imperfect.

Your reminder is good - it will be especially important in the challenge to get the meters entered as quickly as possible! For morale support if nothing else!

Row strong! And by the way, how different is the rowing machine experience from the water rowing experience? Must be a heck of a training ground if so many water rowers do this in the off season!

The info is correct on the log, as mine are all direct C2log uploads,
but Jan cannot see that as she has access only to the team log that does not list dates...

I have to admit that I do not like when the C2log takes the next day if I row past midnight... but better than nothing...

I think that overall it's OK. I just pointed out the cumulative number, to make sure that I do not assume some undeserved glory, compared to teammates who row the great numbers/day ;).

Happy rowing!

All the meters are good!

Every meter is good - we could use about 1500 of them right now to catch Timbuk2...

Karyn,

Rowing, like golf is pretty much self regulated and I admire your honesty. That said I don't think we should get to hung up on what day which row gets credited to. Somehow I think if you post them as you row them everything will workout most of the time. On those few occasions when the clock traps you don't worry about it, go to your log book and edit the date. I know where your concern comes from. I used to row twice a day and post in the evening EDT. Now I'm rowing at all kinds of weird times so I just stated posting them as I do them and let the chips fall where they may. I know this is driving Jan crazy.

Your a good girl Charlie Brown and we all love you. Keep your oars wet we need the meters.

Gabriela,

Welcome back, did you enjoy your days off? Mine are coming up some. I knew you wouldn't let an old fat bald guy be in front for to long. Just trying to boost my ego, EH.

Anyway, glad to see you can do some serious meters when you want.

Go Team!

Erging in the morning
Erging in the evening
Erging at suppertime.... or however that adaptation of a song goes!

We're having fun now!

Go Luna-Tics! For this brief moment in time, we are ahead of the Timbuk2 team. If ever there was an evenly matched competition, this has got to be it! What a kick!

Image

SCORE!

Go Gabriella! Dan loves the chase! And don't forget the strategy of the canoeist!

Thanks to all those who posted welcomes and encouragement for Orion. I read them to him when he got home from school. He had already rowed 1500 meters before breakfast today. Watch out, I showed him all your pictures on the team list. He is currently at the bottom and has identified people on the team he wants to get more meters than. Its all a good math lesson for him. He is also rowing for the NARC and is in the top 500.

jan,

And what would that strategy be? I can't use it if I don't know it or was the tip just for Grabriela and you two are ganging up. LOL

Sorry I haven't gotten any meters for the latest challenge but I've been in PT a bit and holding off a bit. Today, I got 10,000 in for the latest challenge and will try to keep it up. Tom

As to the strategy of the canoeist....Darryl's canoe is showing great maneuverability and silent speed (stealth) through the virtual waters of space....not bad for a small gorilla! I clearly had no visibility to the kinds of meters Darryl was posting yesterday....it was the ripple in the Force, Obi-Wan...
