I'm also having some discomfort on my right side (hence monitoring the posture), but for me, it's in my right shoulder blade. I also think I'm pulling harder with my right side than I am with my left. It's not too terrible a pain, but it's not fun to have when rowing. I'm now trying to focus on letting my legs do the bulk of the work in the drive to take some of the stress off of my arms and back. Also, I just requested a free technique DVD from Concept2:

If anyone else has any advice in how to fix my shoulder problem, I'm happy to hear it!

I am no doc and no expert but do have some experience with training people in the fitness industry and I am a retired RN.
With what you describe ..I would be sure to have this evaluated. It could be one of many things. If I am correct..you are a volleyball player and use your arms and shoulders extensively. Then the rowing added..well..that could be something that you want to get looked at and not continue to row with pain.I am always afraid of rotator cuff issues and that is a long process..
You could just have a strain but to row through pain like this is iffy.
So be aware that this could pose a risk for you.Be careful!!

Took a day off today, busy day at work and time change was TMTH

What I was trying to say previously that worked for me was to put your hands in front of your knees before the knees come up on the inward stroke.

This helps in that your wrists are always straight and on the drive back they are also straight when there is a lot of torque on them

The most important thing about motivation is
goal setting. You should always have a goal.

TimbukTOO has theirs!!

I just want to express appreciation for our team leader. Even on days I don't row, I can't wait to log on in the morning to see what crazy/lovely/inspirational pictures/posts Pat has made. By the way, what convinced me that I probably was a better fit on this team than elsewhere was the dancing Laurel and Hardy image posted a while back. Thanks for taking so much time to motivate us all, Pat.

ROW STRONG!!!

We have maintained spot #33 in rankings despite some difficult challenges.

The Rocky Mountain Rowing Club has 40 team mates..
They are right behind us with 19,320,777 meters
We are rowing against the wind with 22 mates having 19,360,321 meters.

The Virtual waters are getting rougher as the week MARCHES on

Stay strong and keep the spirit and watch this boat!!
