Wow, scary looking muscular people! I ordered a pair (i.e. gloves, not people), after rummaging around and trying to find something with which to measure my wrist ... $24.99 with no shipping or tax. Thx, Pat. I'm looking forward to trying them.

Hope you find them helpful.Their CS is really good and if they don't work for you..let them know. After I wear a pair for a certain length of time they sort of mold themselves to my hands.Like breaking in a comfortable pair of shoes. My hands sweat alot at first and I have to get used to that feeling. But that goes away too.So I would say that they have their own learning curve.I had terrible carpal tunnel symtoms for a long time and with these the symptoms are almost gone.I was NOT about to have surgery and did everything known to man to get rid of the symptoms.I have found my holy grail of rowing tools in these.I have also used these grips and just the wrist straps alone in doing various work related tasks and they really stabilize the wrists. Not just for rowing. Not all products work for everyone and this company stands behind their products.

Pat,
Thanks for the info on the gloves. I got a new pair for ten bucks at Walmart, and couldn't use them. They rub in the wrong spots. This is the first time I have had that happen though. Still, my old pair is wearing out, so I will try the ones you have mentioned.

I get callouses even with wearing gloves, but I do a lot of longer rows. My callouses build up on the palm at the base of the fingers, and also just under the first knuckle joint on the fingers. Sometimes even under the top knuckle joints, but not often.

I have noticed that I have worn a hole almost all the way through on the palm of the left hand only, towards the outer side of the palm, but the right glove shows no unusual wear at all in the same spot - I must be holding the handle differently in each hand, but I have not ever been able to detect how/what I am doing.

To answer a previous question on NARC, I did enroll the challenge team LUNA-TICS in the NARC, and it is set for open enrollment, so everyone who wants to should be able to put themselves on the team. Our challenges team has about 80 people on it right now.

Sorry I have been so delinquent in posting and responding to emails lately. Our internet has been giving us fits. It is doing better now.

The price seems to have gone up because I only paid $64.99 for a new set. It's totally worth it, however, for those who find themselves spending more and more time on their ergs. :)
Thanks much for the info! I have just ordered a set ($64.99 @Amazon).

I "fell of the boat" for almost a week due to skiing vacation :).
Managed to do 6k+ after one day of skiing + 4 hours driving back home.
Today just 5k + change... Hope to catch up later this week ;).

Nice to see all the progress and welcome new team members!

Happy rowing!

I didn't row on the 7th and I had meters for that date in my logbook so I took them off. I don't know where those meters came from. I am one of the people who don't have the time to add meters every day so I can only come in here about 2 or 3 times a week and my meters report looks real good if you check it that way. Anyhooooooo, it would appear that I am rowing a whole bunch all at once when in reality I am just doing as much as I can each day still and fighting this (literal) pain in my neck. I will go to pt tomorrow and see what can be done.
