I am doing the team stats for TimbukTOO.I know that Nathaniel did it for the Challenge but I haven't heard from him or know where he is in the virtual community right now.Jan has given me the spread sheets and I have worked with them for our team. She provided the tools..and I took off with them.

I got the Luna-Tic tee and mug from Cafe Press..they are great!!

RE: The Shirts

I will be happy to email the Luna-Tics logo jpg to anyone who wishes to make a shirt using the Cafe Press process. If you wish to have the JVC logo, I can email the jpg on that one as well. You can then create the type of t-shirt you want to have: I know that Barb G wanted one that was not so long, and believe that she went ahead with the design process. How did that turn out?

RE: Rowing During Bridge

I can almost see this....anyone who makes her own soap can probably figure out how to make most things happen (although when I first read that post I thought you were making soup until I got to the oil and lye part)....

Gina, this made me smile ... imagining your little "movie screen" going in and out of focus as you pulled. (Also, your new team picture is great.)

Team Is At 50 Members

Post by Kona2 » February 26th, 2008, 6:24 pm

I was entering my meters today and noted that we have dropped to #14. We have had a team member leave the team - so that just as suddenly as we rocketed up a few notches, we're back to a different reality. These waters be dangerous from time to time and the landscape in and out of the boat changes!

I too noticed this ..sorry to see this happen but these virtual waters do get a bit murkey :? The waves get a bit rough and then sometimes the waters will calm...

It looks as if the rower who "jumped ship" has decided to not be affiliated with a virtual team and row alone..just to meet their own goals..
Keep the spirit LUNA-TICS!!!

Erging in the middle of the night??

Post by Toothdoc » February 26th, 2008, 7:08 pm

Chris,

When I got up this AM I noticed you had been on the erg again while I was in blissful slumber. That caused me to erg before work. When I got home this PM I noticed you'd been at it again. So I got back in the saddle. Had to quit when the tornado warnings came. Had to abandon a HM attempt. Everything is ok so far. I was not trying to run off and hide, I have an all surgery tomorrow so rowing will be of low priority when I get home. You will probably gain a bunch on me tomorrow.

Being so close to each other and exchanging leads is great motivation. Keep up the great rowing. Thanks for the competition. Maybe we can carry each other to 2 million before the year is out.

Hey, Dan..
I am in Naples,Florida and the tornado watches are gonna hit here tonite.
Our area was hit with a major power outage due to a nuclear reactor on the east coast of FL.I wasn't affected..
This weather is sort of strange.Cold fronts should be slowing down or at least shorthening in length soon.

Wishing all you Floridians safe passage during your NOAA warnings. I used to love driving on the beach at Daytona (I'm sure that's not allowed any more!) but don't miss the hurricanes on your coast. Give me a good earthquake any day. (Just kidding, oh Great Spirit in the sky!)

Maybe we can carry each other to 2 million before the year is out.
Seems so improbable but never say never ... I'm still trying to get out of the 2,500K a day pages ... my goal is to be at 5,000 K/day by May 1.

Yikes - run for cover

Stay safe Floridians - power outages, nuclear reactors gone awry....that strange glow you're rowing by.....not a good picture!

Jan (Kona2) - all we have to deal with is 300 inches of snow in the mountains. Noelle is probably having some of the best ski conditions ever!

Jumping ship?

Post by dinodi » February 26th, 2008, 9:00 pm

No- I just prefer to row in quiet anonymity--setting my own goals and striving to meet them without much ado.

I wish all of you well. Happy Rowing.

Chris,

Would you consider taking down those times you have posted? You are embarrassing me, I can't beat any of them. I am the turtle, with a lot of callus on my behind. I just try to out live the competition.

Good luck with pursuit of your goals Diane. Hope you sneak a look at the team room once in awhile - there are some crazy things happening in here. I respect your decision.
