Strange there is no indication of who is lightweight, or any separation between lightweights and heavyweights.
It would be nice to have a split screen between them.

The winner, Vegar, actually pulled a 1.24 with 100 to go.MattNc2usa wrote:Bronze for NavHaz in 50-54 HWT:

Also: if anybody wants to pass a message on to anybody in the arena, and get it broadcast on the audio, post it here or email me at davidh@concept2.com.

The results are all up.
Mike VB nudged out Roy for the hammer in the 55s lwts, 6:45 to 6:46.
Yes, Shuster broke Ripley's 55s hwt WR with Cooper not far behind, just a couple of tenths of a seconds off of Ripley's record.
Spousta finished a distant 4th in 6:30.
Most of the folk who rowed last year (Roy, Bob Spousta, Peter Dreissigacker, etc.) showed the standard 3 seconds a year decline.
Who knows what's up with NavHaz.
He seems he has lost it entirely.
He rowed 12 seconds slower than he did in the fall: 6:30.
This means that NavHaz rows 8 x 500m (2:00 rest) at 2K - 5, given that he just did the workout in 1:32.5 and he just did a 2K in 1:37.5.
Nice to know.
Nav should use a 5Ks/10Ks as 2K predictors, not 500s.

I couldn't get there.
Paul Hendershott couldn't get there, either.
Nor could Steve Krum.
A foot of snow came down on Boston on Friday morning.
By the afternoon, when my plane was scheduled, Northwest Airlines couldn't get planes to Detroit (or anywhere else, I presume).

As were many other people, especially, it seems, the US qualifiers (e.g., Paul Hendershott and Steve Krum).
I'll row next week at St. Catharines.
