Wow you guys are quick I didn't even know we had a new team page. We are doing great getting the word out. We had 13 new people buy rowers that ride last month. I am off to the Indy trade show to talk the rower up with some Moto Magazine guys. I am also going to be doing a rowing workout with the Andretti racing team and there is a chance that Travis P will be there too. Lets all keep spreading the word and pulling the meters! - Greg

Yea right, there's two feet of snow on the ground here. I knew I should have bought a sled this year.

Hey i just got this from Travis Pastrana. It gives us all somthing to shoot for.
I swear the guy is part machine!
Hi greg, I've been mostly swimming and bicycling getting ready for a half iron man in hawii but I got on the rower and did a 6:37 2,000 yesterday. I started off too slow and feel that I left a bit on the table but I figure it's a start.

Yea, I might be able to break a 7:36, oh did I mention I'm dyslexic?GREGH wrote:Hey i just got this from Travis Pastrana. It gives us all somthing to shoot for.

Much better, but not 100%. I got back on the C2 a few days ago and did a moderate 30 minutes. Didn't feel bad while I was rowing, but the back pain started creeping in again and hurt for a few days.C3H6O3 wrote: How's the back, Mike?
I think I'm swearing off 500's and short hard intervals forever, but I should be able to do 2000's and longer pieces at full effort, once I get better. I'm pretty much able to do everything now, but at a cautious pace.

Yeah... part machine, part elite athlete & part SX champion, part kid, etc, etc.... I'd be surprised if he didn't pull big numbers. Lets see him in 16 years!GREGH wrote:Hey i just got this from Travis Pastrana. It gives us all somthing to shoot for.

Anyhow, his numbers are certainly something to shoot for - regardless of whether or not they're anywhere near my realm! If you don't shoot at anything, you never hit anything.
It also helps to have long legs! I think it's awesome that he's going to do a half-iron man though. What's next? Everest?125shifter wrote:Yeah... part machine, part elite athlete & part SX champion, part kid, etc, etc.... I'd be surprised if he didn't pull big numbers. Well I've barely been on the erg... only twice/week. I've been out on the water more lately although we're still experiencing the occassional icing. But I have been going to the gym. I've already increased my strength. I love that steep improvement curve of starting something new.
Actually riding the YZ is getting closer... in time and distance. There is a new track opening that is 15 minutes from my house. Apparently it's half built but I'll find out more at a meeting about it on Monday. This is EPIC! Right now the closest track is about 90minutes away so this opens up the opportunity for way more riding!
