I took that pick a year ago when whe bike was brand new and I had just finished my standard new bike set-up - literally had never riden it. Funny though, I got the 250F about 1.5 months after the 450 and rode the 250F 95% of the time. The 450 has about 5 hours on it, but it has scratches now.michelle wrote:It looks too clean. Mine too. I've been working on mine too. All new valve train, high comp piston, new front tire, repacked the steering head bearings and have a new top clamp ordered for it. It still looks like it's 20 years old.
I'll ride mine one more season, but I think I'm done with four strokes. I like the simplicity and ease of maintenance of two strokes.

Hey guys and gals,2whlrcr wrote:My intuition tells me that he has been rowing, but not logging the meters. I'm guessing that's not an uncommon practice to try hide your progress and not show your hand. It bet there will be more than several people who will wait and post there meters after the challenge is over. You have until February 5th to get the information in.C3H6O3 wrote:Yeah, the "old" threw me. By the way, where has Sean been? Is it still the heel? I noticed that he hasn't logged any meters in two weeks! We could have really rocked if he hadn't gotten injured.2whlrcr wrote:Now you just assumed it was me I was talking about.
Maybe he just got burned out, injured, busy at work or life? Who knows, since he hasn't posted in the forum lately. His wife also has not logged any meters for a long time too. I think they're just being sneaky.
Sorry we just disapeared for a while. I got sent out of town for a bit and that left Mel alone with three very active boys. I didn't have access to a rower and she didn't have access to an energy reserve!
Then I got bogged down with stuff I had been putting off for too long around the house and had to do some work on my vehicles in the garage.
Kudos to everybody who helped the team to our 14th place in this challenge. I think that's awesome for a new team that is still growing. BTW, are we signed up for the February challenge?
Sean
Glad to have you back, Sean!
So, what's our challenge going to be this month (or next)? I suggest that we have some sort of test/retest. For example, everyone can establish their best time at a given distance at the beginning of the month, train however they see fit, and finish up with a post-test. We can have two winners: best overall (divided by weight class and gender) and largest improvement (no sandbagging, of course). Any ideas? I vote for either a 2k time-trial or most meters in 30-minutes.

February challenge is pretty easy. Just have to row 14,000 in a five day period. The CRC board has a 7777M challenge for February. Enter your fastest 7777M time. Should be around 30 minutes or so.
Steve, why not just use an existing time. And then rerow at the end of the month or whenever you can. Unless of course the person has not specifically rowed the distance we are shooting for.
