RowIt Question

Post by John Foy » February 2nd, 2008, 9:38 am

I have recently installed RowIt onto my laptop.

When I try to export my rowing session detail to my online log it says this:

Couldn't find settings for online log
Please log in using Internet explorer and try again

Ive tried to export logged in, logged out and shaking it all about but still it doesn't work.

Does anybody have any clue why this is happening?

Thanks

Well I just down loaded it John and tried it. Pulled 297 metres and it said it had uploaded to the C2 logbook.

Indeed it had, but it had set it as 0 metres rowed, with todays date.

The help states that you must have used IE to view the logbook before and I suspect you must have had to save username/password as well.

Updated to say that I have done a few tests and it seems to be updating successfully once I had opened the rankings site from IE. You can also update from the log page with and right click and 'send'.

The S/w itself seem useful with the DPS (?) display being a new one to me. I think that must be the one to get to 10 per stroke as per Paul Smith.

Dps = distance per stroke = mps = meters per stroke.

That is useful feedback but the display is only instantaneous, and doesn't show cumulative summaries.

Thanks John. The spm would be better to a decimal place as well, especially if you are trying to do a 20spm piece.

Rowit is unsupported and doesn't work with PM4.

To upload to your C2 logbook use the C2 Logcard utility or RowPro

To play nice tricks with your PM3/PM4 try using Chris Brett's PMI stuff (it can do dps, force curves, all sorts (except configuring the PM3/PM4 for racing)).

RowIt can work with the PM4 if you are able to change the text PM3 to PM4 in the initialization. I did this with a hex editor I don't know if you can do it with a text editor.
