1). Nice Dragon Boat picture Pat! Check Great White North's web site (www.gwndragonboat.com) - there's a Dragon Boat Training camp in Tampa April 29 to May 3 - you could probably have a look at 'em in action! Be careful though, its pretty addictive if you ever get in one of those boats and get your hands on a paddle. ... And most of the competitions we do are mixed teams - of 20 paddlers, at least 8 have to be women.

This has really inspired me. It's helped me get into a new weight loss program from the UK site. If my schedule allows, I'll be at an indoor race next week. And my high school has an alumni day with racing in late April. Who knows. I haven't been in a shell since the Reagan administration, but never say never.
Thanks to everyone's posting. Though I'm not a frequent poster, it definitely got me going and made me want to speed up my training schedule to get as many workouts in by the end of the month as possible.
And as I checked the team standings after logging my meters we were at:

This could be the surprise that I have been warning "us" about.In these challenges, there are always things that happen that are a huge surprise.There are those who "banked" their meters..saved them til the end to post and other little surprises.I have seen this before.And where did the added number of crew come from over night?112 versus 126.

Colorado has a dragon boat racing association - CDBRA. This was established last year and includes a couple of teams that are comprised of cancer survivors. Teams seem to always be looking for new people to join them.
