Hey crew, only two days left. I should be able to meet my goal of 200,000 for the month. I know some of you have double that so I just want to thank you megametres guys. :) Where would we be without you?

Ditto, except that my goal (as a total Noob to rowing and an old , fat guy just trying to get back in shape) was only 100,000.

My goal was 5000M a day. I might need to reevalute how I set my goals.

Hey guys, got my rowing machine 2 weeks ago today, and I have lost 4 pounds and one inch around my waist. I am super stoked about beeing on the team, wish I could have done it sooner. I hope we will have another challange like this one. I am going to row 10000 meters while I watch american idol tonight. :D

Maybe the swooshing will help muffle the singing.

Hey, folks!
February's challenge for the CTC is 7777 meters unrestricted, proposed by "Age Without Limits".
I would LOVE to see some "Moto Madmen & Women" boats floating around the CTC.

Anyone taking the challenge?

Is there any significance to 7777 meters?

From the CTC-Thread in the UK forum:

Feb CTC

7777 metres - Unrestricted

Fastest time

It's the lucky 7 challenge. Have fun.

Credit must go to Vaclav Brazda and Steve Motzny, our CTC organizers
for establishing this months venue.

What’s a challenge if it’s not a challenge?
It’s not supposed to be easy is it?

Oh Yes, Steve G, we even have a secret handshake only known to AWL members who meet in the Virtual world.

Thank you for the opportunity to choose this months CTC.

Joe

I've had a jacked up stomach for the last few days - have done only about 20kM (half of what I had planned) this week, but I did pull a PB 500M last night of 1:47.4 - 3 secs better than my last PB a week ago. I'm convinced that intervals are the key to building moto endurance. I've been doing the 250M/1:30r that Greg suggested last week and can already feel the dif.

Now I'll need to introduce some honest "competition" to the intervals to keep me pushing me.

This was a quick and dirty attempt at posting some Moto type workouts : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR9Rz_Letm8 I encourage any of you to post some as well.
There will be more to come soon. The next workouts will include Pyramid workouts, Challenges and a lot of good total body workouts. I just don’t want there to be the excuse that “I don’t know what to do today”. I am also going to try and get many of the top trainers to let us in on what they do with their riders. Feel free to email me with questions and comments. Oh yeah and sorry I didn’t put in any of the Star Wars special effects(low budget). In the mean time keep working on the standard workout distances 500m, 2000m, 5000m, 10000m, 20min and 40min. You can see how you stack up at this link:

Done for the month! Hit my goal of 100,000 and feel pretty good about it. Thanks to everyone, you all definitely provided some inspiration.

I'm also done for the month. It was great being a part of Team Moto. Remember, we won for Team Making the Longest Forum Thread :)
...AND we have way cooler toys B)

On Sunday when you've pushed your erg aside, feel free to send some positive vibes over here to the northwest where I'll be racing 2000m in the Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships.

I'm up for whatever future challenges Team Moto might participate in. If you need a female for this CTC thing, let me know.

Ha! Saved the best for last.

21,097m in 1:31:42.9 which makes me the fastest half-marathoner in motocross! :D - of those that recorded a 'half' time this month but, hey, I'll take it.

Shaved nearly 4-minutes off of my best time.

That gives me 143,740m for the month of January.
