As the UK forum is a non-event AGAIN, does anyone know any of the results from Manchester (is there a link) ?

I read that document and liked everything in it until I read the specific workouts. I don't understand the two weeks hard, two weeks easy, but even stranger is the longest rows being 2 x 45' or 3 x 30'.
I would do at least several continuous 2 hour rows and several 4 x 10K.

Eddie Fletcher is a renowned Sport Scientist and expert Indoor Rowing coach.
As far as I am concerned, if he says this is how to do it, this is how I will do it. :D

John.
I didn't say it was wrong, just that I don't understand it!
There are comfort, nutritional/energy, and psychological issues in a three hour row that one does not have to deal with in a 90 minute row with one or two breaks. It just seems like a risky program not to have a better idea what one is going to face in a marathon.

I have no doubt Eddie Fletcher is smarter, knows far more and is a much better coach then me, but I do wonder what his thinking is. Based on the results of those he trained it obviously works. Still if I were doing it, I would modify the program so I did several longer continuous rows.

Good luck with it. Keep us informed how it is going (only we should move it to another thread and not hijack this one any more).
