Breast Cancer Awareness Team Daily Rowing Diary

Post by Kristine Strasburger » January 24th, 2008, 12:42 pm

Hello,

Team Captain from the LUNA-TICS here.

You guys and gals are doing a great job this JVC!

I have just created a new topic in the JVC forum for the Breast Cancer Awareness Team. It is a copy of Brian's daily rowing diary. Please visit this topic, and give him some encouraging words in these final days of the challenge. Don't forget to take the poll at the top of the page, too.

Thanks!

  • Progress logged between Thu 24 Jan 06:00 GMT and Fri 25 Jan 06:00 GMT.
  • Fighting spirit is a measure of your proportional rate of ascent of the rankings. 100% means you've maintained your place in the overall rankings. If you were ranked at 200, and climbed to place 180 in the 2 days since you last logged any distance, your Fighting spirit would be ((200-180)/(200x2) + 1) x 100 = 105%. Similarly, if you were ranked at 1000 and climbed to place 950 in one day, your Fighting spirit would also be 105%.
  • A '/' means yesterday's logged distance has been split between the number of days since you last logged any metres (or day 14, when these stats were started.)

Well done to all the above for pushing TIMBUK2 onwards.

My Goals

Post by thestorck » January 25th, 2008, 7:59 pm

All, Thanks for the encouragement over the past few weeks. You all have been great. Due to a head cold and work - meters have dropped the last couple of days but I will make a better effort this weekend. My goal for the challenge was 300K, but thanks to all of you I will exceed that. There are far too many people that do not understand a commitment to a team. The folks on your right and left or more important than the individual (me) in the middle. The only easy day was yesterday, but the finish is within sight.

Timbuk2 team -

Hard to tell whether it's better to be the chaser or the chasee - you guys/gals are putting in an amazing run of meters! Who would have thought that all this would be this much fun? :!: Rowpro is still very much in the mix too - so the next five days should be entertaining!

Five days to go - so row, row, row! ImageImage
