Weight Loss/ Weight Control
Ok, here's my problem. I have a really hard time getting myself to work hard when I am by myself (i am one of those people who need's a coach screaming)(i also like to blast music)
unfortunatlely it is winter break, and I had planned to do some pretty serious training over it(i.e. being able to shatter my PR next 2k test)

so, what do all of you more experienced atheletes use for motivation when working out?

thanks a whole bunch
david

p.s. is this the right place to post this?

You can also set up pace boats or download row files from the C2 online rankings and row against someone else's race. With RP you can also set up your own training plans. Not a coach yelling at you but better than just rowing workouts on your own.

Frank

I've found that pulling the rower in front of the TV keeps my mind from thinking about rowing. If you are into a series like Rocky (watching the Italian get the snot beat out of him) then put a motivational movie like that in.

Scary movies don't work for me, but maybe for you they will get you going.

PM2+ monitors are as rare as rocking horse s... . If you don't have a PM2+ your only option would be to retrofit a PM3.

Here's my 2c, in an email sent to the c2 team.

I’m happy to say that I have completed the Holiday Challenge (12,000 on the last day, phew!) and wanted to share my ideas for continuing goals.

I live in LA and have discovered that 200k is almost ½ way to Las Vegas. I have decided to continue the challenge to reach Vegas by my birthday 2/5. (LA to Vegas is 434,523 meters)

From there, my next goal would be Salt Lake City, which is just over 1m meters, then onto the next major cities, until I reach NYC…….and then around the world maybe?

Just thought that this might be an idea to share w/ you and my fellow rowers?

Happy New Year.
Let us know when you reach SLC. Good rowing.
