Let the introductions begin-

Post by Shelara00 » January 12th, 2008, 12:03 pm

Hey-

Let the introductions begin....

Michelle here... Let's see, I'm a 23 year old engineer/student in the Detroit, MI area. I'm finishing up my MS part time and slaving away for an automaker in order to pay for it.

I discovered rowing in August in the midst of a trip to Australia. Now I have an erg in my closet and it is still fun but not quite the same... ;) Hoping to try getting out on the water for the first time at some point. After it warms up here a bit, that is.

Let the introductions begin

Post by row2sea2 » January 15th, 2008, 7:49 pm

Hi,
I'm Clint. I am 38, married, living in the Seattle area and I erg at home. I am working my way back into using my C2 more regularly. At some point I would like to try actual rowing on actual water. The holiday season was too busy for me to do the Holiday Challenge, so I am happy we have the JVC. I am also looking to "escape the certain undesirable physical effects of an inactive office job".
:)

Intros

Hi! I'm Jeff. I'm 39, married, 3 young children (7,5,3) and live in the Buffalo, NY area. I am active duty Coast Guard (civil engineer and logistics officer) and have served in different parts of the US for the past 20 years. I picked up my C2 just before Christmas and have really been enjoying it as a change to my treadmill.

Howdy. I'm Ken and I'm 49 and live in Hampton, VA. I am the Director of Programming and Systems Development and also teach several classes at the local community college. I received my C2 as birthday present to myself this past November. I decided I was going to get back into shape before I hit the big 5. 0. I've really been enjoying the C2 and all the discussions and support on the forums.

Breast Cancer Awareness Team Daily Rowing Diary

Post by Kristine Strasburger » January 24th, 2008, 12:51 pm

Hello,

Team Captain from the LUNA-TICS here.

You guys and gals are doing a great job this JVC!

I have just created a new topic in the JVC forum for the Breast Cancer Awareness Team. It is a copy of Brian's daily rowing diary. Please visit this topic, and give him some encouraging words in these final days of the challenge. Don't forget to take the poll at the top of the page, too.

Thanks!
