I know that this topic has probably been posted at somewhere in the forum but I start pokin around and get side tracked so.....
I would like to know if there is a specific position your feet should be at while rowing? ie: should your toes be level with the top rail when strapped in or should the ball of your foot??? Know what I mean?
thanks much in advance for any wisdom or advise. I'm hoping it might help with the pain in my hips abit.
Kathy

I used to have my toes right at the top with 5 holes showing, but the raised portion increased the angle too much.
Now I have the balls of my feet right below it, with 2 holes showing at the top.

Strap should go over the bend in your shoe.
Hi, Kathy, welcome to the forum.
That's a nice avatar you have, I've added it directlly to the "great avatars": http://www.c2forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=92017#92017
What is it?
Sorry for the hijack, back to topic:
I always row wit 2 wholes showing, regardless I use shoe or go barefoot, and feel comfortable.
For short sprints (up to 500m), sometimes I put the foot strechers with 4 holes showing.

The low foot position kept lifting me up on some sprints this morning.
Afterwards, I moved the flex feet back up to 4 holes showing and this felt great on the warm down.
Also, I'm putting material below the hump to help level the surface.
