Robert,
My father passed through the Panama Canal on the 9th July 1937 when he was serving in H.M.S. Exeter as one of it's Warrant Engineers. The Royal Navy cruiser was on its way to take part in the 75th Anniversary celebrations at Victoria, British Columbia.

Spirit ... has fifty times the strength and staying power of brawn and muscle."
The five S's of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit."
TIMBUK2 definitely has the spirit!!!

Looks like the team is growing fast. Just came on myself. My name is Tom Bellevue from MA. I've had my C for a few years now and love it. I started at the gym about 10yrs ago when I found out that I could stay on the erg for as long as I wanted since everyone else was waiting for a treadmill
Happy to be part of the team!

Tom..That is how I started my rowing career

It was over 10 years ago..I found a rower in the corner of the gym where I was a Personal Trainer. No one ever used it.

So I started to row and got hooked.Found the Concept 2 Rower, bought one for my own gym and well..that is history.Millions of meters later.I made all my clients learn to row and they thanked me for it.
Welcome to the Team..
Enjoy the ride!!!

Good to see that there is another Atlanta member on the team. I live north of the city - been here since 1993.
Cut my teeth rowing on the Schuylkill River in Philly over 20 years ago while in high school and left the sport soon thereafter until I "discovered" the erg at the health club a several years back. Bought a Model C in 2000 that collected a lot of dust until I found my motivation to get back on consistently about 6 months ago and now its a daily habit. Just completed the 200k holiday challenge and hope to hit first million meters this month and get back into competitive regattas (on the erg) soon.
Looking forward to the JVC and the opportunity to contribute to the team!

The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.
A few words of wisdom for the day..
Row strong!!!
