PM2+ Programming Question
Is it possible to program the PM2+ (or PM2) to, say, record two 5X intervals with a 2 minute rest in between, without linking it to a computer? I seem to recall this is possible, but so far all I can do is program single rather than multiple intervals.

You're so fortunate to have the pm2 monitor.
Program the distance as usual, i.e. the 5k.
Click the arrow to [rest], set the rest time and you're ready to go.
I usually use a timer and wall clock with a second hand to help keep track of the intervals (which help show the inaccuracy of the pm3). When the rest interval is 2:00 then I set 1:50 on the monitor. This gives me a few seconds to get prepared for the start and make sure the rest doesn't run over into the next repetition.
This being said, when it's a 5k I usually just reset the monitor, as this only takes a couple of seconds on the pm2.

You can't tell it how many reps? As I recall (though I could be wrong) the only way out of the loop is to exit. Will the data on each 5K split as well as total be retained, or is it just one or the other? I'll have to retrieve my C2 from storage, and give it a try.John Rupp wrote:You're so fortunate to have the pm2 monitor.

The PM3 and 4 aren't all that impressive to me either, especially since they haven't really taken advantage of standardized stuff like standard flash cards, readers, etc. Plus, what's wrong with bluetooth? I have something of the same problem with my Polar HRM. Paid hundreds of dollars for a wrist unit that uses infrared transmission that fails as often as it works, is incompatible with MacBook, etc. As a result, I don't use it very much.

You don't need to tell it the number of reps.
You can keep going with any number of them up to 30, or stop with any number of reps that you wish.
The pm2 is very flexible as to usage.

Not yet. Does that help the accuracy?Citroen wrote:Have you updated your PM3 to V101 firmware? How inaccurate is it?
The display is constantly delayed, and the accuracy is off up to 2 seconds for each repetition.

I don't know, but you want to start with the latest generally available firmware as that's what C2 are likely to recommend when you report the error/fault/failure to them. [It's what I do for my mainframe software support specialist job. Get current, then get the diagnostics. I've been doing that for 25years (silver anniversary this week).]John Rupp wrote:Not yet. I've been hesitant to update, in case it would crash the monitor.
Congratulations, silver anniversary.
