Around the World Row!
I was just noticing the Men's 40-50 60' record board for 2007 ... man is that close. David over Walter by 3 meters?! That's incredible - Hoping that I can just get my back in fine working condition again, so I can get right back into the thick of competition with you guys!!
Cheers.

Hey Troy,
How's the back? Are you up for this month's CTC?
I'd been working through a few events to see if I could get some PBs improved. I didn't know Walter's distance until I looked after I'd logged it!
If you want to see closely matched, take a look here.
Ancho and I are a tenth of a second here and there!
Cheers

Which category are you refering to with Ancho?
Might skip the CTC this month. I finally got through a 40 min piece yesterday - first since April. Been a long road - so I'm just working my way back into shape and doing much more cross training than i was before. Hopefully that will get me back on track here in the next month or so.
I see that you are making some waves in the 40 somethings division - now that you are an old geezer like Walt and I. Keep up the training!

Hello Eh Team,
I've had a great summer of bike racing and am now looking forward to some erging. I see some great times posted! I'll be taking it slow mixing some time on the erg with some cycling (while the weather holds .) I've got one or two races left. Hopefully by mid September I'll be back into the swing of things.

Well, it looks like this thread is being is resurrected.
The Eh!Team has managed to log over 21 million in our attempt to row the coastline of the world. I put our start point in Ireland and as you can see from the the google earth file we are almost down the east coast of South America. The total route will be over 200 million kilometers and I figure it will take us a few years to complete it.
Linda and I are training for the British Indoor Rowing Championships in Birmingham in November. We are entered as members of the Eh!Team, so anyone else that wants to join us is welcome.
Keep on rowin', eh.

I hope all of the Eh!Team had a great summer. I have just got my boys back to school, one at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and the other at King's Edgehill School in Nova Scotia, so we have the country covered.
It was an exciting summer for rowing here in Yellowknife as 2 of our local boys were on the Brentwood College High School team for the Henley. They made it to the finals and lost in a photo finish.
Our coastal row is going well. I have not calculated the total length yet, but it is long. The route around the America's is over 54 million meters, so longer than around the world row.
We have all ready done 23 million meters and our team is up to 50 members.
We are currently along the east coast of Argentina passing the city of
Comodoro Rivadavia.
Keep on rowin', eh!

Where am I? I have rowed 100,000 meters since Thanksgiving! And now I'm in Louisville for my niece's wedding. No access to a Concept 2 where I'm staying, so I'll have to continue the Holiday Challenge when I get back on Tuesday.
Started with my Model D on June 11, 2007

ckaiserca : Nice challenge totals so far.
alkem: One day at a time for me also........but meter by metre is where we differ
Any other Eh!Team members participating in the Holiday Challenge? I use this time of year to jump start my training. Much respect for those who train all year.

I'm still here too!
Our Eh!Team members have grown to 60 and we are doing well in the team rankings. We are now at number 9.
The coastal row is also going well. We are coming up on 39,000,000 meters and our boat is now in the warm waters of the Gulf of California between the Baja and Mexico.
Linda and I are just back from a 2 week trip to Britain, where we participated in the BIRC in Birmingham. It was fun. Linda rowed a personal best and I did not do as well as I wanted and my excuses are numerous. We will probably try another competition sometime just for the fun.
We took the liberty of entering as members of the Eh!Team.
We will participate in the holiday challenge.
Keep on rowin', eh.
