30' time personal best?

Post by Atorrante » November 9th, 2007, 3:44 pm

Hi John. I think that your 30' pb was in a bad day. For the rest of your times you should do better for the 30' piece. Or not?

Worst Bike Accident.

Post by Atorrante » November 9th, 2007, 4:10 pm

I think this is a good time to talk about that bike crash you"ll never forget. Mine ocurrs about two years ago at the end of a sunday, 60 miles ride. In a downhill I was in the middle of a pack and spot a malicious dog about a 50 meters ahead. He has cruel intentions. While approching him he decided to attack the rider in front of me, and in a suicide movement he was suddenly in my bike path, and the results were multiple bruises all over my left leg and arm, and over my left shoulder. An hematoma on the left hip, and a lot of PAIN. Pain for the injuries and for the lesions that will stop me for a while.

Alright...mine wasn't bad...but it is fresh in my mind as it just happened a couple of weeks ago....1st...and I'm sure not last........I was crossing some railroad tracks recessed in and surrounded by some rubber covering....(high traffic area) It was raining I was going only about 13mph....I was crossing and my very next thought was....hey...why is my helmet hitting the ground....that fast...no chance to think about how to fall...up...then down....damage.....knee swelled up hit shoulder pretty good (may have cracked a rib)...not sure....and thank god for helmets...or I wouldn't be typing this...
