seasons...

Post by vineethonkan » October 22nd, 2007, 7:20 pm

Guys, do any of you know what the timing for rowing is (in season, post season, pre season)? I ask because I am doing an assignment for one of my classes where I am training a hypothetical client to be ready for the Canadian Henley (Aug 08). If any of you know and would post it I would much appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

To get a good answer, you need to frame your question with a lot more care. However, when I rowed we started in October and raced April-July.

If what you are looking for is a training programme, try the Interactive on the UK site. Up to 26 weeks if I remember right. Basically it means keeping fit all the time (pre) by long slow work and then tapering / sharpening in season. Post there's not even a hint, but who needs one.
08-1940, 183cm, 83kg.
2024: stroke 5.5W-min@20-21. ½k 190W, 1k 145W, 2k 120W. Using Wods 4-5days/week. Fading fast.

Sorry about that. I usually tend to state my questions sometimes very vague when trying to get a detail. Anyway, could you send me the link to that website? Thanks.
