Weight Loss Forums - Are People Really So Gullible?
I checked some of these out, some of the stories were so outlandish that I could not believe they were real. A typical one was like this:
I need help. I started a new diet and can't seem to lose weight any more. It is 1,200 calories per day and I eat something like this
Breakfast - 1 dry piece of toast and 3 strawberries
Lunch - Liquid formula
Dinner - A slim piece of chicken with salad and low calorie dressing
Snack - 1 Super Weight Loss Bar
I exercise a little but often am dizzy, fatigued and have constant headaches now. I thought exercising and dieting was supposed to make me feel good, what am I doing wrong?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are these mostly a case of denial or are people really this foolish? *Scratches head*

That amount would be a little snack for me.
Liquid formula??? What the heck is that.
I make my own "liquid formula", with veggies and fruit in a blender.

This is a very funny thread.
Bob and all of you are very funny. I have seen how some people eat candy bars and potato chips. I remember gaining a lot of weight from using prednisone for my asthma. I got very bloated. I gained weight until I saw 300 pounds on the hospital scale. It was all water gain. I began losing it by walking and keeping active. I went down to 190, but still have some problems with weight. I also got a rowing machine a few months ago which has helped a lot with muscle tone. I have lost 5 pounds since last month from weighing 250. I'm not interested in losing weight. I'm interested in feeling good. I feel good at the moment. My asthma is a cronic desease, but I do what ever I can to better my breathing. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to say what I feel. I laughed a lot at what bob wrote and all of you guys. Take care. Norma
This is quite an interesting article
http://www.printthis.clickability.com/p ... erID=73272. I showed it to a nutritionist I work with and he said it forced him to go back to his text books and re-think. Essentially, exercise makes you hungry (well d'uh) and what loses weight is eating less (well d'uh).
Now if only I could do what THEY say.
