Wisdom Teeth/Training

Post by Englishman116 » July 24th, 2007, 2:59 pm

This Monday, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Although I was afraid of getting the surgery at first, it was an amazing experience. I don't know what they gave me after surgery, but I was having the time of my life for the rest of the day.

I was wondering how long i should wait until I resume physical excersize. I feel pretty good and most of the bleeding has stopped, but I don't want to make it any worst. I was thinking of working out Friday. Is that too early?

Best to ask the dentist that. I waited 3 days before exercising when I had 3 out.

and then add a day for good luck - vigorous exercise (obviously) increases blood pressure dramatically

by the way, I do a colonoscopy every 3 years and get a dose of demerol - man they could gouge out my eyes with a pitchfork and I'd say okey dokey tea anyone ?

I go right back to regular training the next morning.

The only difference is I don't go as hard for a few days but otherwise continue right on.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Had mine removed the very beginning of July. As they were hooking me up to the IV I noticed that there was an intern so I asked him what school he was from. Turns out he was from NC State and the last thing I remember saying was how I couldn't wait for my school to kick his schools butt in football. The rest of the day was glorious though.

I pretty much waited until I ran out of vicodin before I started PT'ing again. Didn't have access to an erg so I was running so that may be different from erging since there's no serious impact from the running.

I had one tooth out (3 from the back so not wisdom) on Wednesday afternoon and went back to training Thursday morning. It did take until this morning to stop bleeding though so maybe I should have left it another day :? .
