Visible Online Row Pro Races

Post by mudman » June 5th, 2007, 3:34 pm

Hi, I'm thinking about getting into Internet rowing.

In Row Pro, after clicking 'Internet' in 'Session Setup', I get the message 'No sessions are available'.

Fair enough, but a few minutes ago I saw a list of upcoming races over the next few days (the closet being about 3 hours out)

Any insight as to whats going on?

thanks

you won't see an online row in the internet/sessions unless you have already signed up for it, or somebody puts up a quick row (which shows up for everybody for 15 minutes).

I use the website for looking at upcoming rows and to sign up (so I never go into the control panel/internet tab which is the other way to actually sign up for a scheduled row).

thanks, strangely enough, the races I see at the URL above are those that I did see (temporarily) within the internet tab. But, I was not prompted for a Oarbits logi so maybe I wouldnt have bee able to register anyways..

Am I correct in reading that there is a 10K race at 5:59 EST today?

thanks again

The times are listed in GMT, so the 10k tonight is at 7:59 EST.

Future online races should show up for you under control panel/internet, but maybe you do need an oarbits profile first, I can't remember. Only races you are scheduled for, or quick rows, show up under session setup/internet (I am doing this from memory and am not at my rowing computer).

I had always signed up directly from rowpro, and hadn't had a look at the website.
I like it very much, will be doing it from there from now on! :D

BTW, does anybody know if there is a something as a "spectator function", to watch a race for someone who is not participating?
