Turns out days off aren't critical for me. My pace could generously be described as moderate—it's purely for butt-reducing purposes. My erg sessions aren't all that much more taxing on my body than my daily walks.
Now that the glacier is receding here in WI, recreational activities will probably interrupt my workouts anyway. But I'm not going to schedule time off, and if I row every day for three weeks or a month, I'm not going to worry about it.
